On the p-biharmonic operator with critical Sobolev exponent

Applicationes Mathematicae, 2014
Summary: We study the existence of solutions for a \(p\)-biharmonic problem with a critical Sobolev exponent and Navier boundary conditions, using variational arguments. We establish the existence of a precise interval of parameters for which our problem admits a nontrivial solution.

The third order spectrum of the p-biharmonic operator with weight

Applicationes Mathematicae, 2014
Summary: We show that the spectrum of \(\varDelta ^{2}_{p} u + 2\beta \cdot \nabla (|\varDelta u|^{p-2}\varDelta u) + |\beta |^{2}|\varDelta u|^{p-2}\varDelta u=\alpha m|u|^{p-2}u\), where \(\beta \in \mathbb {R}^{N}\), under Navier boundary conditions, contains at least one sequence of eigensurfaces.

On the spectrum of the p-biharmonic operator involving p-Hardy's inequality

Applicationes Mathematicae, 2014
Summary: In this paper, we study the spectrum for the following eigenvalue problem with the \(p\)-biharmonic operator involving the Hardy term: \[ \varDelta (|\varDelta u|^{p-2}\varDelta u)= \lambda \frac {|u|^{p-2}u}{\delta (x)^{2p}} \quad\text{ in } \varOmega,\;u\in W_0^{2,p}(\varOmega).

Existence of three positive solutions for nonsmooth functional involving the p-biharmonic operator

2013
This paper is concerned with the study of the existence of positive solutions for a Navier boundary value problem involving the p-biharmonic operator; the right hand side of problem is a nonsmooth functional with variable parameters. The existence of at least three positive solutions is established by using nonsmooth version of a three critical points ...

Eigenvalues associated with the Khon-Spencer p (⋅)-biharmonic operator on the Heisenberg group

Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations
n this study, we consider a nonlinear eigenvalue problem including a Khon-Spencer p(xi )-biharmonic operator under Dirichlet boundary conditions in the Heisenberg group framework. By conducting rigorous analysis, we prove the existence of a positive constant lambda > 0 such that any lambda is an element of (0, lambda), is an eigenvalue for the problem.
