Air Pollution and the Risk and Progression of Multiple Sclerosis: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Air pollution has been linked to several neurological conditions, including stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Evidence regarding its association with multiple sclerosis (MS) remains conflicting, limited by small sample sizes. Methods PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane controlled register of trials (CENTRAL) were searched on ...

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness

Techniques of the differential subordination for domains bounded by conic sections

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We solve the problem of finding the largest domain D for which, under given ψ and q, the differential subordination ψ(p(z),zp′(z))∈D⇒p(z)≺q(z), where D and q(𝒰) are regions bounded by conic sections, is satisfied.

Innate Immune Reprogramming Mediated by Endogenous Retroelement Dysregulation Drives Multiple Sclerosis Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Epigenetic reprogramming in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and downstream myeloid cells, mediated by H3.3 downregulation and endogenous retroelement (ERE) overexpression, contributes to the progression of multiple sclerosis (MS). ABSTRACT Background Skewed myelopoiesis in the bone marrow has been identified as a key driver of multiple ...

Paramagnetic Rim Lesions Are Associated With Trans‐Synaptic Degeneration of the Visual Pathway in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Retrograde trans‐synaptic degeneration (rTSD) from posterior visual pathway lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by hemi‐macular ganglion cell‐inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thinning and contralateral visual field loss.

Towards unifying perturbative and Holographic Light-Front QCD via holomorphic coupling

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We construct a QCD coupling A $$ \mathcal{A} $$ (Q 2) in the Effective Charge (ECH) scheme of the canonical part d(Q 2) of the (inelastic) polarised Bjorken Sum Rule (BSR) Γ ¯ 1 p − n $$ {\overline{\Gamma}}_1^{\textrm{p}-\textrm{n}} $$ (Q 2).

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Exploring the DGLAP resummation in the JIMWLK Hamiltonian

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We explore the recently derived equation that resums DGLAP corrections to the JIMWLK Hamiltonian in the simplified setting of the SU(2) gauge theory. We solve the equation numerically for the scattering matrix of a dressed gluon for a particular initial ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Existence and concentration of solutions for a p-laplace equation with potentials in R^N

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We study the p-Laplace equation with Potentials $$ -hbox{div}(| abla u|^{p-2} abla u)+lambda V(x)|u|^{p-2}u=|u|^{q-2}u, $$ $uin W^{1,p}(mathbb{R}^N)$, $xin mathbb{R}^N$ where $2leq p$, $p<q<p^{*}$. Using a concentration-compactness principle
