Modified p-q theory based control of solar PV integrated UPQC-S
2016 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2016This paper proposes a modified p-q theory based control of solar photovoltaic array integrated unified power quality conditioner (PV-UPQC-S). The fundamental frequency positive sequence (FFPS) voltages are extracted using generalized cascaded delay signal cancellation (GCDSC) which is used in p-q theory based control to generate reference grid currents

Instantaneous p-q theory for harmonic compensation via shunt active power filter
2013 Workshop on Power Electronics and Power Quality Applications (PEPQA), 2013Non-linear loads became an important problem in now days since the implementation of new power semiconductor devices in electric power systems generating harmonic distortion in transmission systems [1,3,11]. That's the reason why solve these problems for utilities became an important task.

Harmonic Suppression Using the Improved p-q Theory in the Power System
2009 International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications, 2009According to the traditional p-q theory had many problems, the improved p-q method is studied in this paper. The distorted voltage is transformed to ideal voltage through the space vector. Harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation are finished under the distorted voltage by use of three-phase four-wire four-leg active filter.

(p, q)-deformation of conformal field theory and two-point function
Il Nuovo Cimento B Series 11, 1994We obtain a (p, q)-deformation of conformal field theory and find its two-point function from the (p, q)-deformed Ward-Takahashi identity.

p-q theory based modified control algorithm for load compensating using DSTATCOM
2014 16th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP), 2014This paper proposes a control algorithm for DSTATCOM (Distributed STATic COMpensator) to compensate the source current harmonics in a non-sinusoidal voltage source environment. A 3-leg VSC (voltage source converter) based DSTATCOM is used for the load compensation, on a system consisting balanced 5 th harmonic PCC voltages, in 3-phase, 4-wire ...

Shunt Active Power Filter for Harmonic Mitigation based on P-Q Theory
2019 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Information Engineering (ICEEIE), 2019In the last few decades, the application of power electronics has been inseparable from the electrical system. Power electronics technology that is often used such as arc furnaces, variable Speed Drives (VSD), fluorescent lamps, and PC computers causes harmonic distortion and reduces the quality of electrical power.

Fuzzy logic controller based instantaneous p-q theory for power quality improvement
2017 International Conference on Technological Advancements in Power and Energy ( TAP Energy), 2017This paper gives a solution for suppression in harmonics and compensates the reactive power present in a system. For the study, system considered for analysis is of three phase source feeding power to a non-linear and reactive loads. Diode bridge rectifier acts as non-linear load in parallel with a reactive load connected to the supply. Non-linear load

Reactive power compensation for six phase distribution system using p-q theory
2012 2nd International Conference on Power, Control and Embedded Systems, 2012Multiphase transmission and distribution is a matter of research for years. With DG system, multiphase paradigm is a better solution as compared to existing three phase system. The distributed generation requires less reactive power as loads are split over multiple phases.

The instantaneous power theory on the rotating p-q-r reference frames
Proceedings of the IEEE 1999 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS'99 (Cat. No.99TH8475), 1999This paper proposed the rotating p-q-r reference frames where one instantaneous active power p, and two instantaneous reactive powers q/sub q/, q/sub r/ were defined in 3-phase 4-wire systems. The three power components are linearly independent, so that compensating for the two instantaneous reactive powers leads to control the two components of the ...

Improved single phase instantaneous p-q theory for DVR compensating nonlinear load
2018 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2018The main objective of this paper is to compensate voltage sag in single phase system connected with nonlinear load. For achieving this improved instantaneous reactive power (IRP) theory based efficient controller for Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) has implemented.
