Experimental on ultrahigh frequency vibration fatigue of GH4169 nickel-based superalloy

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials
To address the very high cycle fatigue(VHCF)issue of GH4169 nickel-based superalloy, which is widely utilized in aero-engines,a fatigue specimen subjected to 20 kHz ultrahigh frequency vibration is designed and tested utilizing a piezoelectric ultrasonic ...

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Patients With Osteosarcoma: Local Control Outcomes With Dosimetric Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

Following the Anatomy of the Proximal Tibia With a Standard Anatomic Technique and the Use of an Asymmetrical Tibial Base Plate can Lead to a Mismatched Internal Components’ Rotation in Mechanically Aligned Total Knee Arthroplasty

open access: yesArthroplasty Today
Background: Tibiofemoral components rotational congruency affects the total knee arthroplasty (TKA) success. The smart insert sensor (I-S) helps to establish tibial component rotation reciprocally to a fixed femoral rotation. We aimed (1) to validate the

Clinical value of fluorine-18α-methyltyrosine PET in patients with gliomas: comparison with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose PET

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2017
Background We investigated the relationship between metabolic activity and histological features of gliomas using fluorine-18α-methyltyrosine (18F-FAMT) positron emission tomography (PET) compared with fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) PET in 38 ...

Alternating groups and moduli space lifting Invariants

open access: yes, 2009
Main Theorem: Spaces of r-branch point 3-cycle covers, degree n or Galois of degree n!/2 have one (resp. two) component(s) if r=n-1 (resp. r\ge n). Improves Fried-Serre on deciding when sphere covers with odd-order branching lift to unramified Spin ...

Changes in Body Composition in Children and Young People Undergoing Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.

On the Quantum Density of States and Partitioning an Integer

open access: yes, 2003
This paper exploits the connection between the quantum many-particle density of states and the partitioning of an integer in number theory. For $N$ bosons in a one dimensional harmonic oscillator potential, it is well known that the asymptotic (N ...

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Second main theorem for Holomorphic curves intersecting a Fermat-type hypersurface in projective spacel

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Huế: Khoa học Tự nhiên
Let $s, b, d$ be positive integers with $(s+bd)-(n+1)(s+bn)>0$. Let $R_{i}$ be homogeneous polynomials of degree $s$ and $Q_i$ be homogeneous polynomials of degree $b$.

The Spectral Curve of the Lens Space Matrix Model

open access: yes, 2003
Following hep-th/0211098 we study the matrix model which describes the topological A-model on T^{*}(S^{3}/\ZZ_p). We show that the resolvent has square root branch cuts and it follows that this is a p cut single matrix model.
