Effect of doping on performance of organic solar cells
Conventional models of planar and bulk heterojunction organic solar cells have been extended by introducing doping in the active layer. We have studied the performance of organic solar cells as a function of dopant concentration.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Fatigue life prediction method based on data fusion
To address the challenges posed by the time-consuming nature of fatigue test and the scattered nature of test data,it is evident that P-S-N curves derived from small samples with high survival rates lack sufficient accuracy, leading to unreliable ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Brill--Noether loci on moduli spaces of symplectic bundles over curves
The symplectic Brill--Noether locus ${\mathcal S}_{2n, K}^k$ associated to a curve $C$ parametrises stable rank $2n$ bundles over $C$ with at least $k$ sections and which carry a nondegenerate skewsymmetric bilinear form with values in the canonical ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

On the stratification by X-ranks of a linearly normal elliptic curve X ⊂ P^n
Let X⊂ P^n be a linearly normal elliptic curve. For any P in P^n the X-rank of P is the minimal cardinality of a set S ⊂ X such that P in \langle S \rangle.In this paper we give an almost complete description of the stratification of P^n given by the X ...

Does uroflowmetry parameter facilitate discrimination between detrusor underactivity and bladder outlet obstruction? [PDF]
Purpose: Though urodynamic study (UDS) is the current established standard to distinguish between detrusor underactivity (DU) and bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), concerns of patient discomfort and potential complications of catheterization deters its ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
