Derivation and Validation of a Phenoconversion-Related Pattern in Idiopathic Rapid Eye Movement Behavior Disorder. [PDF]
Abstract Background Idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) represents the prodromal stage of α‐synucleinopathies. Reliable biomarkers are needed to predict phenoconversion. Objective The aim was to derive and validate a brain glucose metabolism pattern related to phenoconversion in iRBD (iRBDconvRP) using spatial covariance ...

The interactive effects of drought and heat stress on photosynthetic efficiency and biochemical defense mechanisms of Amaranthus species. [PDF]
Amaranthus sp.; chlorophyll a fluorescence; photosystem II Abstract Drought and heat stress are major abiotic stress factors that limit photosynthesis and other related metabolic processes that hamper plant growth and productivity. Identifying plants that can tolerate abiotic stress conditions is essential for sustainable agriculture. Amaranthus plants

Nordic Questionnaire Use in Work-Related Musculoskeletal Injury Surveys Among Surgeons. [PDF]
This systematic review evaluates how the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) has been modified in studies of surgeons and identifies additional variables associated with musculoskeletal (MSK) injury. By analyzing 26 studies published between 2000 and 2023, we found that while neck pain was consistently assessed, inclusion of other anatomical ...

Significance Statement We report that G6PDH‐isoenzyme replacement in the cytosol leads to metabolic priming by fructose‐2,6‐bisphosphate (F2,6P2). Resulting in partial sugar retention—combined with efficient NADP(H) recycling—improved overall stress resilience and plant development.

Abstract During leaf senescence, nitrogen is remobilized and carbon backbones are replenished by amino acid catabolism, with many of the key reactions occurring in mitochondria. The intermediate Δ1‐pyrroline‐5‐carboxylate (P5C) is common to some catabolic pathways, thus linking the metabolism of several amino acids, including proline and arginine ...

Longitudinal vegetation turnover in an eastern Rift Valley riparian corridor
Abstract East African riparian corridors are biodiversity hot spots that occur in catchments degrading under deforestation and overgrazing. Quadrats and belt transects were employed to investigate plant succession along the River Gilgil, in the Kenyan Rift Valley. The study found that most species (total 365) were broadly distributed across the tropics,

Designing an order picking system can be very complex, as several interrelated control variables are involved. We address the sizing of the storage capacity of the picking bay, the crew of pickers, and the AGV fleet, which are the most important variables from a tactical viewpoint in a parts‐to‐pickers system.

Morphological diversity, evolution and biogeography of early Pleistocene rabbits (Genus Oryctolagus)
Abstract The early Pleistocene is the key period for understanding the evolutionary history and palaeobiogeography of rabbits (Genus Oryctolagus). In western Europe, many species were endemic, making them a reliable indicator of the evolution of the terrestrial ecosystems in which many species have evolved.

Modulating charge carriers in carbon dots toward efficient solar‐to‐energy conversion
In this review, we present various strategies to efficiently utilize the photoexcited charge carriers from carbon dots by classifying them into three steps: (i) charge excitation, (ii) charge separation, and (iii) charge transfer toward solar‐to‐energy applications, including photovoltaic cells, photocatalysts, and photoelectrocatalysts.
