Is Substituting P91 for P22 Justified?
2016While refurbishing fossil fuel power plants, it is of great importance for safety precaution to replace the aged components which exceeded their designed service life with new ones. The most important parameter for thick-walled components is thickness value and the most important procedure is its reduction.

Creep-fatigue interaction rules for P91
2014A number of methods for predicting the creep-fatigue life of P91 steel are presented and discussed. Beside the interaction diagram method established in the design codes, ASME Subsection NH and RCC-MR, and the ductility exhaustion modification (DE) established in BS-R5, a set of simpler models are considered.

Thermomechanical Analysis of P91 Power Plant Components
2014This thesis presents a combined experimental and computational study on the thermo-mechanical fatigue performance of welded P91 material to (i) characterise the thermomechanical behaviour, and (ii) predict the number of cycles to fatigue crack initiation, for power plant P91 material (including welded material) and components, operating under realistic
