Application of variable equivalent amplitude for determination of fatigue life of elements subjected to block loading [PDF]
This paper contains a proposition of a new method of determining the fatigue life of elements subjected to non-stationary loads. The model was based on the determination of the time-variable equivalent weighted amplitude.

A Test of the Standard Hypothesis for the Origin of the HI Holes in Holmberg II [PDF]
The nearby irregular galaxy Holmberg II has been extensively mapped in HI using the Very Large Array (VLA), revealing intricate structure in its interstellar gas component (Puche et al. 1992).

The Interpretation of Experimental Observation Data for the Development of Mechanisms based Creep Damage Constitutive Equations for High Chromium Steel [PDF]
It is very important to design a safe factor or estimating the remain lifetime for electric power plant components of steam pipes which mostly manufacture by high chromium steels and work at high temperature and low stress level.

The influence of binarity on dust obscuration events in the planetary nebula M 2-29 and its analogues [PDF]
The central star of the planetary nebula (CSPN) M 2-29 shows an extraordinary R Coronae Borealis-like fading event in its optical lightcurve. The only other CSPN to show these events are CPD-568032 (Hen 3-1333) and V651 Mon (NGC 2346).

A comparative study of two nuclear steel grades welded joints [PDF]
In present work, two nuclear grade steel (P91, P92) are joined using the arc welding process. The welded joints were subjected to the heat treatment in order to restore the mechanical properties and overcome the heterogeneity across the joints.

The alternation of creep properties is unavoidable in welded structures after suffering from cyclic damage, which may lead to the premature failure of power plant units and hard to predict. This work is devoted to clarify the influence of prior low cycle

Confining potential in momentum space [PDF]
A method is presented for the solution in momentum space of the bound state problem with a linear potential in r space. The potential is unbounded at large r leading to a singularity at small q.
