Thermal-mechanical fatigue behaviour and life prediction of P92 steel, including average temperature and dwell effects

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
This study was devoted to an investigation of the effects of the average temperature and dwell on the thermal-mechanical fatigue (TMF) behaviour of P92 steel at elevated temperatures in the range of 350–650 °C. The results revealed that increased average

New chromium steel grade for creep applications

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2022
In this study, a novel Chromium steel grade (COIN2) is produced as a result of a new steel composition and an innovative heat treatment. This new steel grade COIN2 evolves from the P92 steel grade and other novel steel grade recently created by the ...

Origin of Threshold Stresses in a P92-type Steel

open access: yesTransactions of the Indian Institute of Metals, 2015
The creep behavior of a P92-type steel was examined at 923 K. The threshold shear stress of 51 MPa was revealed by an analysis of steady state creep behavior at applied stress ranging from 118 to 200 MPa. The tempered martensite lath structure stabilized by M23C6-type carbide particles with an average size of about 110 nm and MX-type carbonitrides with

Access to reticulated water in late‐pregnancy: impacts on ewe productivity, drinking behaviour and some physiological indicators of dehydration

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 68, Issue 4, Page 689-702, August 2025.
ABSTRACT There has been industry debate regarding sheep access to waterways, although there is little information available on the impact of access to water on sheep productivity. It is theoretically possible for actively growing pasture to provide sufficient moisture to meet the daily water intake requirements of sheep.

Experiences of Individual and Collective Stigma Resulting From the 2008–9 Witch‐Hunts Carried Out by the Gambian Dictatorship: Implications for Transitional Justice

open access: yesJournal of Community &Applied Social Psychology, Volume 35, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
ABSTRACT Yahya Jammeh's 22‐year rule of The Gambia was marked by gross human rights violations, including torture, extrajudicial killings, and enforced disappearances. In 2008–09, Jammeh embarked on a “witch hunt” campaign, mostly targeting poor and elderly men and women.

Material Challenges and Alloy Selection for Particle/s‐CO2 Heat Exchangers in Concentrated Solar Power Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 10, May 2025.
Combining supercritical CO2 (s‐CO2) cycles with particle‐based heat transfer media holds great potential in concentrated solar power plants but poses enormous material challenges. The particle/s‐CO2 heat exchanger must withstand extreme conditions, including high temperatures, pressures, CO2 corrosion, and erosion.

Impact of Kr and Ar seeding on D retention in ferritic-martensitic steels after high-fluence plasma exposure

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2018
Total deuterium (D) retention from the bulk material of reduced-activation ferritic-martensitic (RAFM) steel Eurofer’97 (EU’97) and commercial ferritic-martensitic grade P92 was traced experimentally by means of thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) and ...

An Unusual Encounter: Mycobacterium Paratuberculosis Infection in Wild Sheep

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 3, May 2025.
This study reports Johne's disease (JD) in Isfahan wild sheep, marking the first documented case in Iran's wild ruminants. The disease, caused by Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP), was confirmed through PCR and histopathological examination.

Forecasting the distribution of precipitate diameters in the presence of changes in the structure of the material

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2017
The results of investigations on the microstructure of T23 and T24 low-alloy steels as well as P91 and P92 high-chromium steels in the as-received condition and after 70.000 h annealing at 550-650°C are presented.

‘It's extremely weird to understand UK culture when you don't live there and just study from abroad’: An empirical investigation of internationalisation at a distance perspectives

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Technology, Volume 56, Issue 2, Page 947-966, March 2025.
Abstract Following the conceptualisation of a third space of internationalisation at a distance (IaD) in this study, we aim to explore how international students at the largest university in Europe, the Open University, might consider their own identities and perspectives.
