Changes in Soil Hot-Water Extractable C, N and P Fractions During Vegetative Restoration in Zhifanggou Watershed on the Loess Plateau

open access: yes, 2013
The study was conducted in Zhifanggou Watershed, Shaanxi Province, China, to evaluate the effect of different vegetation types on hot-water extractable C, N and P fractions, with the aim to determine whether hot-water extractable fractions could be used ...

Convergence conditions for p-adic continued fractions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Continued fractions have been introduced in the field of P-adic numbers Q(P) by several authors. However, a standard definition is still missing since all the proposed algorithms are not able to replicate all the properties of continued fractions in R ...

On the logistic equation for the fractional p‐Laplacian

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, 2023
AbstractWe consider a Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear, nonlocal equation driven by the degenerate fractional p‐Laplacian, with a logistic‐type reaction depending on a positive parameter. In the subdiffusive and equidiffusive cases, we prove existence and uniqueness of the positive solution when the parameter lies in convenient intervals.

Low Nocturnal Temperature Alters Tomato Foliar and Root Phosphorus Fractions Allocation by Reducing Soil Phosphorus Availability

open access: yesHorticulturae, 2023
Low nocturnal temperature (LNT) is a major constraint for protected tomato production in China during winter and spring, which leads to tomato phosphorus (P) deficiency symptoms. The soil P fractions reflect soil P availability.

Soil P availability, inorganic P fractions and yield effect in a calcareous soil with plastic-film-mulched spring wheat

open access: yes, 2012
Plastic film mulching (PFM) has been extensively used for crop production since the 1990s in the semi-arid Loess Plateau, Northwest China. The availability of soil inorganic P under PFM is poorly understood and hard to be predicted in this area.

Adsorption/desorption processes dominate the soil P fractions dynamic under long-term N/P addition in a subtropical forest

open access: yesGeoderma
Despite large phosphorus (P) reserves in subtropical forest soils, P limitation can be exacerbated by elevated atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition. However, the mechanisms underlying how soil P fraction transformation affects P availability and the key ...

On periodicity of p-adic Browkin continued fractions

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2023
The classical theory of continued fractions has been widely studied for centuries for its important properties of good approximation, and more recently it has been generalized to $p$-adic numbers where it presents many differences with respect to the real case.

Rapid loss of phosphorus during early pedogenesis along a glacier retreat choronosequence, Gongga Mountain (SW China) [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2015
The loss of phosphorus (P) during the early pedogenesis stage is important at the ecosystem level, and it also plays an important role in the global P cycle.

Continued fractions for some transcendental numbers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider series of the form $p/q + \sum_{j=2}^\infty 1/x_j$, where $x_1=q$ and the integer sequence $x_n$ satisfies a certain non-autonomous recurrence of second order, which entails that $x_n|x_{n+1}$ for n?1.
