FOS3D: A Fluorescence‐Enabled Toolkit for Characterizing a Three‐dimensional Osteosarcoma Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FOS3D describes fluorescent (F) osteosarcoma (OS) cells in a tri‐dimensional (3D) model. The study comprises three phases: development, where biofabrication parameters are tuned to achieve cytocompatibility and tumor‐specific mechanical properties in cell‐laden gelatin methacryloyl constructs; validation, where whole‐well fluorescence reading is ...

An Ontology for PACS Integration [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Digital Imaging, 2006
An ontology describes a set of classes and the relationships among them. We explored the use of an ontology to integrate picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) with other information systems in the clinical enterprise. We created an ontological model of thoracic radiology that contained knowledge of anatomy, imaging procedures, and ...

Aging and Electrical Stability of DNTT Honey‐Gated OFETs

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
DNTT honey‐gated organic transistors were fabricated and evaluated to assess short‐ and long‐term stability under electrical stress and aging. Short‐term transfer measurements (five days, 40 sweeps/day) showed minimal parameter shift, while extended measurements revealed gradual degradation over weeks.

Assessing Mesoscale Heterogeneities in Hard Carbon Electrodes Through Deep Learning‐Assisted FIB‐SEM Characterization, Manufacturing and Electrochemical Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A combination of discrete and finite element method models for the current collector deformation and electrochemical performance analysis, respectively. The models are calibrated and validated with electrochemical and imaging data of hard carbon electrodes. These electrodes were manufactured with different parameters (slurry solid contents of 35 and 40

Efficiency Assessment of Coagulants in the Removal of Arsenic from Water [PDF]

open access: yesمحیط زیست و مهندسی آب, 2017
Coagulation and flocculation process is one of the common methods used in water treatment plants used for treatment of surface waters. If performed correctly, this process can affect the removal of heavy metals and the removal rate will reach its maximum

Factors Affecting Recollapse of the Augmented Vertebrae After Percutaneous Vertebral Augmentation: A Prospective Study

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
To investigate the relevant factors of augmented vertebrae recollapse after percutaneous vertebral augmentation (PVA) for the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs). Intervertebral cleft (IVC) and those with PVP intervention are at higher risk of recollapse.

PAC Spending and Roll Call Voting in the U.S. House: An Empirical Extension [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper expands the investigation of how PAC spending affects the roll call voting behavior to the U.S. House of Representatives. Using a theoretical framework which draws on the voting literature, we develop two models that explain Representatives ...

Retinal Vessel Segmentation: A Comprehensive Review From Classical Methods to Deep Learning Advances (1982–2025)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.
