Effect of Metal Salt Coagulants on Treatment of Activated Sludge Effluent in Sulfite Mill Pulp and Paper Plant [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2002
Pulp and paper effluents are considered as serious environmental hazards and their treatment, because of multiplicity of impurities and complexity of their chemical structures, is one of the most difficult and inconvenient industrial processes.

Perturbaciones provocadas por la nueva PAC en las decisiones de ajuste estratégico en sistemas agrarios andaluces.

open access: yesEconomía Agraria y Recursos Naturales, 2011
Las sucesivas reformas de la Política Agraria Común (PAC) han diseñado distintos instrumentos de protección para los productos continentales y para los productos mediterráneos en Europa, lo que ha originado diferentes estrategias de ajuste por parte de ...

Catalytic Oxidation of Styrene in the Presence of Square Planar Cobalt(iii) Complexes of Polyanionic Chelating Ligands [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Styrene has been catalytically oxidised in the presence of iodosoarenes and square planar cobalt(iii) complexes of polyanionic chelating (PAC) ligands; possible intermediates in these oxygen atom transfer reactions include cobalt(v)-oxo ...

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Forming Probably Stable Communities with Limited Interactions

open access: yes, 2018
A community needs to be partitioned into disjoint groups; each community member has an underlying preference over the groups that they would want to be a member of. We are interested in finding a stable community structure: one where no subset of members

Countercurrent chromatography in analytical chemistry (IUPAC technical report) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
© 2009 IUPACCountercurrent chromatography (CCC) is a generic term covering all forms of liquid-liquid chromatography that use a support-free liquid stationary phase held in place by a simple centrifugal or complex centrifugal force field. Biphasic liquid

Crystal Engineering of Reticular Materials for Gas‐ and Liquid‐Phase Hydrocarbon Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Crystal engineering enables systematic study of structure/function relationships as exemplified by pore engineering of reticular sorbents, including porous coordination networks and covalent organic frameworks. This review assesses such studies applied across the full scope of industrially relevant hydrocarbon separations to provide insight into how ...

PAC-Bayesian High Dimensional Bipartite Ranking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper is devoted to the bipartite ranking problem, a classical statistical learning task, in a high dimensional setting. We propose a scoring and ranking strategy based on the PAC-Bayesian approach.
