Abstract Aims This study aimed to evaluate the change of the main electrocardiographic (ECG) characteristics and their prognostic role across the main subtypes of cardiac amyloidosis [light‐chain amyloidosis (AL) and hereditary (ATTRv) and wild‐type transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRwt)].

Are physiological oscillations physiological?
Abstract figure legend Mechanisms and functions of physiological oscillations. Abstract Despite widespread and striking examples of physiological oscillations, their functional role is often unclear. Even glycolysis, the paradigm example of oscillatory biochemistry, has seen questions about its oscillatory function.

eGFR slope as predictor of mortality in heart failure patients
Abstract Aims Heart failure (HF) leads to an imbalance between heart and kidney function, resulting in poor outcomes. However, the prognostic significance of the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) trajectory in HF patients remains unclear. We analysed electronic health records (EHRs) of real‐world HF patients, assessing eGFR trajectories and ...

Predicting acute decompensated heart failure using circadian markers from heart rate time series
Circadian metrics—amplitude, mesor, and acrophase—derived from a wrist‐worn heart rate monitor can predict acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) up to 21 days before onset. In 65 post‐ADHF patients, an LSTM model achieved 74% sensitivity, and 73% specificity trained on 21‐day sequences. These findings support circadian rhythm analysis as a promising

The Vestibular Implant Input Interacts with Residual Natural Function
ObjectivePatients with bilateral vestibulopathy (BV) can still have residual “natural” function. This might interact with “artificial” vestibular implant input (VI-input). When fluctuating, it could lead to vertigo attacks.

The diagnosis of atrial cardiomyopathy (AtCM) requires electrical atrial dysfunction, with evidence of either mechanical atrial dysfunction, atrial enlargement, or excessive atrial fibrosis. The diagnostic cut‐points presented are for standard electrocardiogram and echocardiogram studies (see Figure 1 for further detail).
