α2-macroglobulin-like activity in plasma of the crayfish Pacifastacus leniusculus

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1985
1. 1. A protease inhibitor was present in the plasma of the crayfish Pacifastacus leniusculus. 2. 2. This inhibitor decreased the activity of several proteases when casein was used as a substrate, whereas chromogenic synthetic peptides were hydrolyzed by these proteases in the presence of crayfish plasma. 3. 3.
