Mechanisms of tropical Pacific decadal variability
Naturally occurring tropical Pacific variations at timescales of 7–70 years — tropical Pacific decadal variability (TPDV) — describe basin-scale sea surface temperature (SST), sea-level pressure and heat content anomalies. Several mechanisms are proposed

Two centuries of coherent decadal climate variability across the Pacific North American region
The decadal variability of the Pacific Ocean and North American hydroclimate are subjects of immediate concern for society, yet the length of the instrumental record limits full mechanistic understanding of this variability. Here we introduce a 178 year,

Pacific Meridional Mode-Western North Pacific Tropical Cyclone Linkage Explained by Tropical Pacific Quasi-Decadal Variability [PDF]
© 2019. American Geophysical Union. All Rights Reserved.Previous studies argued that the Pacific Meridional Mode (PMM) impacts tropical cyclone (TC) genesis variability over the southeastern part of the western North Pacific (SE-WNP).

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

The role of the tropical Atlantic in tropical Pacific climate variability
Interactions between Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can affect tropical Pacific variability and its global impacts at both interannual and decadal timescales. Thus, a deepened understanding of the coupled Atlantic-Pacific interactions is needed.

Anthropogenic Aerosols Contribute to the Recent Decline in Precipitation Over the U.S. Southwest
The winter‐spring precipitation over the Southwestern United States (SWUS) decreased since 1980. It is frequently attributed to Pacific internal decadal variability, but recent studies found anthropogenic aerosols (AA) can also induce a transition to a ...

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum GUANKE remodels the indigenous gut microbiota and is associated with microbiota‐dependent restoration of circulating IAA. IAA treatment attenuates JAK3‐STAT3 and Jag1‐Notch4‐Hey1 signaling and reduces CX3CR1+Ly6C− monocytic precursor generation and pulmonary CD11b+ DC accumulation, together with reduced Th2 inflammation ...
