Self-generated Self-similar Traffic [PDF]
Self-similarity in the network traffic has been studied from several aspects: both at the user side and at the network side there are many sources of the long range dependence.

Performance Enhancements for Asynchronous Random Access Protocols over Satellite [PDF]
In this paper, a novel enhancement of the well known ALOHA random access mechanism is presented which largely extends the achievable throughput compared to traditional ALOHA and provides significantly lower packet loss rates. The novel mechanism, called

Quality of Service Aware Call Admission Control in Cell Based Multi-Service Photonic Network
The article tackles the problem of quality of service assurance in photonic networks. The idea of multi-servicephotonic network model with the coexistence of optical circuit and packet switching mechanisms and cell communication is used as a basis for ...

Many clustered routing protocols integrate mediator nodes within the network structure, such as relays, gateways, and forwarders. These nodes collect and aggregate data from the clusters and then submit the data to the Base Station (BS), facilitating ...

Predictive Quality Of Service Schemes For Real-Time Multimedia Applications In Communications [PDF]
In guaranteed QoS resources are reserved based on the worst-case analysis. This scheme guarantees QoS but results in low resource utilisation, subsequently depriving other users from acquiring service.

A Performance Analysis Framework for WiFi/WiMAX Heterogeneous Metropolitan Networks Based on Cross-Layer Design [PDF]
The communication between network nodes within different protocol domains is often regarded simply as a black box with unknown configuration conditions in the path.

A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Performance of Ad-Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector Discovery Algorithms Based On Packet Lifetime [PDF]
Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is a reactive protocol in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET). AODV uses a distance or hop count for determining the best forwarding path and store the sequence number at table entry to ensure the path ...
