Paclobutrazol enhances minituber production in Norland potatoes
Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, 1995The effect of two plant growth regulators, paclobutrazol and kinetin, on minituber yield in greenhouse-grown “Norland” potatoes was investigated. Plants were treated with paclobutrazol at 450 mg/L, kinetin at 10 mg/L, or a combination of paclobutrazol at 450 mg/L + kinetin at 10 mg/L as single foliar applications at early stolon initiation.

Paclobutrazol effects on soil microorganisms
Applied Soil Ecology, 2003The side effects of paclobutrazol, a plant growth regulator, on soil microbial community and activity were assessed in soil samples from Petrolina (PE), Pernambuco State and from Lins (SP), Sao Paulo State, in Brazil. The first experiment was carried out with soils from mango orchards of Petrolina, subjected to frequent field applications of ...

Bacterial diversity in paclobutrazol applied agricultural soils
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 2010The aim of this study was to investigate the bacterial communities on paclobutrazol [(2RS, 3RS)-1-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4, 4-dimethyl-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) pentan-3-ol]-applied agricultural soils by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplified 16S rDNA gene fragments.

PRELIMINARY RESULTS ON EFFECT OF PACLOBUTRAZOL ON PEACH
Acta Horticulturae, 1985PP 333 (2RS 3RS)-1-(-4-chlorophenyl)-4,4 dimethyl 2-(1H-1,2,4 triazol-l-yl) pentan-3-ol, has been tested in 1982 and 1983 on peach cv "Redhaven". In 1982 the chemical was sprayed at different phenological stages (shuck-off, 28 mm and 43 mm fruit transverse diameter), in single or multiple applications given a total of 2,250–3,000 ppm.

Tree root system enhancement with paclobutrazol
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1996Paclobutrazol 2SC (PBZ) was injected into the soil at the base of the trunk at 2 g a.i. per inch dbh. Surface fine root densities near the base of the trees were naturally higher than in the rest of the root system and were adequate to absorb the compound.

Developmental toxicity potential of paclobutrazol in the rat
International Journal of Environmental Health Research, 2004Paclobutrazol is used as a fungicide and as a plant growth regulator, but there are few studies about its potential toxic effects. Experiments were conducted to determine whether this compound has adverse effects on the reproduction and development of offspring.

Paclobutrazol pre-treatment enhanced flooding tolerance of sweet potato
Journal of Plant Physiology, 2006The objective of this experiment was to study changes of antioxidants and antioxidative enzymes in the flooding-stressed sweet potato leaf, as affected by paclobutrazol (PBZ) treatment at 24 h prior to flooding. Sweet potato 'Taoyuan 2' were treated with 0 and 0.5 mg/plant of PBZ, afterwards subjected to non-flooding and flooding-stress conditions for ...
