Log-Likelihood Ratio Calculation for Iterative Decoding on Rayleigh Fading Channels Using Padé Approximation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
Approximate calculation of channel log-likelihood ratio (LLR) for wireless channels using Padé approximation is presented. LLR is used as an input of iterative decoding for powerful error-correcting codes such as low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes or ...

On Row Sequences of Hermite–Padé Approximation and Its Generalizations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Hermite−Padé approximation has been a mainstay of approximation theory since the concept was introduced by Charles Hermite in his proof of the transcendence of e in 1873.

Retirement Financial Planning Among Malaysian Millennials: Insights From the Theory of Planned Behavior

open access: yesFINANCIAL PLANNING REVIEW, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study explores how the components of the Theory of Planned Behavior (attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control) affect retirement financial planning among Millennials in the Klang Valley, Malaysia, focusing on the moderating role of financial self‐efficacy. A quantitative approach was adopted, with survey data collected

Nonparametric Probability Density Function Estimation Using the Padé Approximation

open access: yesAlgorithms
Estimating the Probability Density Function (PDF) of observed data is crucial as a problem in its own right, and also for diverse engineering applications.

Iterative Krylov Subspace Methods for Linear Port‐Hamiltonian Systems

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work, we present a structure‐preserving Krylov subspace iteration scheme for solving the equation systems that arise from the Gauss integration of linear energy‐conserving and dissipative differential systems (e.g., Poisson systems, gradient systems, and port‐Hamiltonian systems).

From exponential analysis to Padé approximation and tensor decomposition, in one and more dimensions

open access: yes, 2018
Exponential analysis in signal processing is essentially what is known as sparse interpolation in computer algebra. We show how exponential analysis from regularly spaced samples is reformulated as Padé approximation from approximation theory and tensor ...

Selective Electrolysis of Water Under Artificial Seawater Conditions Using Transition Metal Borate Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 18, 13 May 2026.
The borate‐based cobalt‐iron catalyst promotes selective oxidation of water rather than chlorine evolution reaction during electrolysis of seawater. When integrated into a zero‐gap electrolyzer prototype, this catalyst supports robust splitting of artificial seawater into oxygen and hydrogen on an extended timescale.

Hermite-Padé approximation (basic notions and theorems)

open access: yes, 1990
Our purpose is to give a brief exposition of basic notions and facts on Hermite-Padé approximation theory. A Hermite-Padé form (HPF) is defined here in the same way as a Padé approximant is. As a consequence, in some cases HPF does not exist. Even in the

Multivariate Padé Approximation for Solving Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations of Fractional Order

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Two tecHniques were implemented, the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and multivariate Padé approximation (MPA), for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order. The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo sense.

Quantum Dust Cores of Black Holes and Their Quasi‐Normal Modes

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
We investigate the quasi‐normal mode spectrum of a gravitationally collapsed ball of dust, considering both a linear and a refined parabolic effective mass function for the quantum core. Furthermore, we account for the quantum leakage of dust particles outside the horizon.
