Heat Stress in Quail: Impacts on Health and Productivity, and Mitigation Strategies
Heat stress disrupts physiological homeostasis in quail, inducing oxidative stress, immune dysregulation, and metabolic imbalance, which impair growth, reproduction, product quality, and welfare. Integrating nutritional, environmental, and genetic–epigenetic strategies enhances thermotolerance, sustains productivity, and supports climate‐smart quail ...

The relationship between blood lipid profile and performance of broilers fed two types of finisher diets [PDF]
A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of two types of finisher diets differed in metabolizable energy (ME) level, butformulated to be iso-nitrogenous, on certain blood lipid profile and some productive traits of broiler chickens from 3 to 7 wksof ...

Biologic Augmentation With Biocomposite Scaffold in Revision Quadriceps Tendon Repair
Abstract Quadriceps tendon rupture is a relatively uncommon injury, typically occurring in middle‐aged males, and is often associated with systemic comorbidities or trauma. Although primary repair techniques provide excellent outcomes when performed acutely, revision surgery presents unique challenges due to poor tissue quality and compromised ...

Insoluble granite-grit allows broiler chicks to have better growth performance and gut health
The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of insoluble granite-grit on growth performance and gut health status of broiler chicks. One hundred and sixty 14-day-old broiler chicks were allocated to experimental groups control and grit ...

Abstract Lateral extra‐articular tenodesis has emerged as a valuable adjunct to anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction for mitigating residual rotational instability. We describe a modified lateral extra‐articular tenodesis technique utilizing an all‐suture knotless anchor with suture tape, which provides strong, flexible fixation with reduced soft ...

Abstract Osteochondral lesions of the knee, particularly in patients with early osteoarthritic changes, remain a clinical challenge. The Agili‐C implant (CartiHeal, Smith & Nephew), an aragonite‐based osteochondral scaffold, offers a single‐stage, off‐the‐shelf solution designed to regenerate both cartilage and subchondral bone.

Abstract Multiligament knee injuries represent rare and challenging injuries that require complex surgical management to restore stability and function. Current evidence supports anatomic single‐stage reconstructions when feasible in order to re‐establish knee kinematics and enable early rehabilitation.

Arthroscopic Repair of the Anterior Root of the Lateral Meniscus Using Knotless All‐Suture Anchors
Abstract Anterior root tears of the lateral meniscus are uncommon but can significantly disrupt knee biomechanics by increasing contact pressures and accelerating cartilage degeneration if left untreated. This article describes an arthroscopic technique for repair of the anterior root of the lateral meniscus using all‐suture anchors.
