Transfer of Bacillus lentimorbus and Bacillus popilliae to the genus Paenibacillus with emended descriptions of Paenibacillus lentimorbus comb. nov. and Paenibacillus popilliae comb. nov. [PDF]
Almost complete 16S rRNA gene sequences were generated for the type strains of the obligate insect pathogens Bacillus lentimorbus and Bacillus popilliae and a second strain of Bacillus popilliae (NRRL B-4081) received as 'Bacillus popilliae var. melolonthae'. A phylogenetic tree was constructed which grouped these strains into a well defined subcluster

Characterization of the novel ene reductase Ppo-Er1 from paenibacillus polymyxa [PDF]
Ene reductases enable the asymmetric hydrogenation of activated alkenes allowing the manufacture of valuable chiral products. The enzymes complement existing metal- and organocatalytic approaches for the stereoselective reduction of activated C=C double ...

Biochar and solid olive‐mill waste differently affected abscisic acid (ABA) bioavailability and bioactivity in soil by altering ABA sorption and soil chemical and microbial properties. The type of amendment and the mechanisms by which it affected ABA bioavailability in soil were key determinants of the final effects on ABA bioactivity. ABSTRACT Natural
