Observational learning and pain-related fear

open access: yes, 2013
Chronic pain is one of the major health problems in Western societies, with a prevalence of 19%. Not only does chronic pain account for enormous health care costs and lost working productivity, it also results in an extensive quality of life reduction. An important predictor in the development as well as the persistence of chronic pain problems is pain-

Generative Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Practice: How Should Rheumatologists Evaluate and Monitor Emerging Tools?

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used in rheumatology practice, to assist with tasks such as documentation, record summarization, and clinical decision support. Rheumatologists need a practical approach to determining what evidence and oversight each application requires.

3D‐Printed Titanium Gyroid Scaffold Structure Integrated With Tough Hybrid Materials for Cartilage Replacement

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study proposes a potential device design for joint cartilage replacement. Silica‐polytetrahydrofuran (SiO2‐PolyTHF) hybrids with customizable mechanical properties were developed to mimic the characteristics of a natural meniscus. These were synthesized through a two‐pot sol–gel hybrid process.

Questionnaire Translation, Adaptation, and Co‐Creation of the Swedish Version of the Fear of Pain Questionnaire Child Report Short Form

open access: yesPaediatric & Neonatal Pain
Pain avoidant behavior is a predictive factor for reduced function in children with persistent pain. A model to explain this is the Fear‐Avoidance Model of Pain (FAM). In FAM pain‐related fear plays an important role in the development and maintenance of
