Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Paired and semipaired domination in near-triangulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
A dominating set of a graph G is a subset D of vertices such that every vertex not in D is adjacent to at least one vertex in D. A dominating set D is paired if the subgraph induced by its vertices has a perfect matching, and semipaired if every vertex ...

Trees With Equal Domination and Paired-Domination Numbers

open access: yes, 2005
A paired-dominating set of a graph G is a dominating set of vertices whose induced subgraph has a perfect matching. The paired-domination number of G is the minimum cardinality of a paired-dominating set of G, and is obviously bounded below by the ...

Paired Eternal Domination in Grid Graphs and k-Trees

open access: yes, 2023
We explore the paired eternal domination number on two different classes of graphs. The paired eternal domination problem is a variation on eternal domination where guards must remain paired after every move.

Item Response Modeling of Paired Comparison and Ranking Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The comparative format used in ranking and paired comparisons tasks can significantly reduce the impact of uniform response biases typically associated with rating scales.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Paired domination on interval and circular-arc graphs

open access: yes, 2007
We study the paired-domination problem on interval graphs and circular-arc graphs. Given an interval model with endpoints sorted, we give an O(m+n) time algorithm to solve the paired-domination problem on interval graphs.

Modelling dependency in multivariate paired comparisons : a log-linear approach. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A log-linear representation of the Bradley-Terry model is presented for multivariate paired comparison data, where judges are asked to compare pairs of objects on more than one attribute.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
