Genomes of Galápagos Mockingbirds Reveal the Impact of Island Size and Past Demography on Inbreeding and Genetic Load in Contemporary Populations. [PDF]

open access: yesMol Ecol
ABSTRACT Restricted range size brings about noteworthy genetic consequences that may affect the viability of a population and eventually its extinction. Particularly, the question if an increase in inbreeding can avert the accumulation of genetic load via purging is hotly debated in the conservation genetic field. Insular populations with limited range

Habitat Association Predicts Population Connectivity and Persistence in Flightless Beetles: A Population Genomics Approach Within a Dynamic Archipelago. [PDF]

open access: yesMol Ecol
ABSTRACT Habitat association has been proposed to affect evolutionary dynamics through its control on dispersal propensity, which is considered a key trait for lineage survival in habitats of low durational stability. The Habitat Constraint hypothesis predicts different micro‐ and macroevolutionary patterns for stable versus dynamic habitat specialists,

Characteristics of Tight Dolostone Reservoir and Its Main Controlling Factors in the Submember Ma55 of Majiagou Formation in the Western Ordos Basin

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
The tight carbonate reservoir was controlled by various geological factors, and such factors played different roles in buried depths and formations. Therefore, studies related to the factors controlling carbonate reservoir distribution are of great significance for the prediction and evaluation of high‐quality dolostone reservoirs.
