Diverse changes in microglia morphology and axonal pathology during the course of 1 year after mild traumatic brain injury in pigs. [PDF]

open access: yesBrain Pathol, 2021
In this study, pigs were subjected to mild TBI by rapid head rotation and neuropathologically assessed for axonal pathology, microglial morphological changes, and astrocyte reactivity out to one year post injury. We detected acute changes in axonal pathology, particularly in the periventricular white matter and fimbria/fornix, as well as changes to ...

Influence of sediments burying the discharge area of a karst aquifer on the groundwater flow field—Numerical testing of conceptual models

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 37, Issue 12, December 2023., 2023
The study's simulations reveal that sediment coverage has a significant impact on karst aquifer drainage. A thin layer of highly permeable sediments can considerably reduce conduit outlet discharge, while an impervious sediment cover can completely block the outlet, potentially leading to the emergence of new conduits and springs.

open access: yesHLA, Volume 102, Issue 3, Page 301-315, September 2023., 2023
Host genetic variability contributes to susceptibility to SARS‐CoV‐2 infection and COVID‐19 evolution and the role of HLA system has not clearly emerged, suggesting the involvement of other factors. Studying response to vaccination with Spyke protein mRNA represents an ideal model to highlight whether the humoral or cellular responses are influenced by

A ResNet‐LSTM Based Credit Scoring Approach for Imbalanced Data

open access: yesMobile Information Systems, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Detecting potential defaults or bad debt with limited information has become a huge challenge. The main difficulties faced by the credit scoring are sample imbalance and poor classification performance. For this reason, we first proposed the auxiliary conditional tabular generative adversarial network (ACTGAN) to generate sufficient default transaction
