Harnessing chimeric antigen receptor macrophages against solid tumors

open access: yesCancer Communications, EarlyView.
Abstract Macrophages are prevalent in multiple tumors and exhibit diverse and potent functional activities. Therapeutic reprogramming of macrophage phenotypes represents a promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy. Engineering chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) to endow macrophages with anti‐tumor capacities demonstrated encouraging efficacy ...

Palindromic-Type Squared Expressions with Palindromic and Non-Palindromic Sums - I

open access: yes, 2019
In the previous papers, the author worked with palindromic-type expressions. These expressions are by use of operations of addition and multiplications. When the operations are removed, we get normal even order palindromes. The previous works are limited to particular cases including patterns.

Dominant‐Negative Effects of p53 R337 Variants in Li–Fraumeni Syndrome: Impact on Tetramer Formation and Transcriptional Activity

open access: yesChemBioChem, EarlyView.
Hetero‐tetramer dysfunction: Li–Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) is a hereditary cancer predisposition caused by mutations in the TP53 gene encoding the tumor suppressor p53. It is shown that p53 variants R337C and R337H, found in LFS, impair wild‐type (WT) p53 function by forming heterotetramers with reduced transcriptional activity.

On theta-palindromic richness

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 2011
In this paper we study generalization of the reversal mapping realized by an arbitrary involutory antimorphism $ $. It generalizes the notion of a palindrome into a $ $-palindrome -- a word invariant under $ $. For languages closed under $ $ we give the relation between $ $-palindromic complexity and factor complexity.

Milligram‐Scale Enzymatic Synthesis of Base‐Modified DNA through Primer Extension: Polymerase Synthesis and NMR Structures of DNA Containing Phenyl‐Substituted Nucleobases

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Larger‐scale enzymatic synthesis of base‐modified DNA is developed using primer extension with KOD(exo‐) DNA polymerase allowing preparation of milligram amounts of the modified DNA sufficient for NMR structural analysis. Milligram (≈200 nmol) scale enzymatic synthesis of base‐modified DNA is developed based on primer extension using easily accessible ...

Model‐Informed Drug Development Applications and Opportunities in mRNA‐LNP Therapeutics

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The utilization of lipid nanoparticles (LNP) for encapsulating mRNA has revolutionized the field of therapeutics, enabling the rapid development of COVID‐19 vaccines and cancer vaccines. However, the clinical development of mRNA‐LNP therapeutics faces numerous challenges due to their complex mechanisms of action and limited clinical experience.

Causal correlations between inflammatory proteins and heart failure: A two‐sample Mendelian randomization analysis

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1374-1385, April 2025.
Abstract Aims Inflammation plays a critical role in both the development and progression of heart failure (HF), which is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. However, the causality between specific inflammation‐related proteins and HF risk remains unclear.

Narrow sieves for parameterized paths and packings

open access: yes, 2010
We present randomized algorithms for some well-studied, hard combinatorial problems: the k-path problem, the p-packing of q-sets problem, and the q-dimensional p-matching problem.
