The surface energy of palygorskite

open access: yesPowder Technology, 2007
Abstract An average value for the surface energy ( γ¯ S ) of palygorskite was determined from experimental data of spreading pressure, the surface tension of water and its contact angle using a formula based on the combination of the Young equation with a general equation of pair interaction. The value found is 226.6 mJ m − 2 .

Indigo in the nanochannels of zeolite L : towards a new type of colorant [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A host-guest based colorant was synthesized by intercalating indigo molecules into the nanochannels of zeolite L (ZL). Reductive washing thereby ensured the efficient and selective removal of non-intercalated indigo molecules.

Determination of Total Acid in Palygorskite Chemically Modified by N-Butylamine Thermodesorption

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2002
The acid properties of palygorskite clay (R1) were studied using n-butylamine as probe molecule. A comparison was made of these properties in palygorskite clay (R1), in an acidified palygorskite (R2) and in acid palygorskite loaded with 2% of lanthanum ...
