Establishment of Panax notoginseng tissue culture.

Chinese journal of biotechnology, 1991
Calli were induced from Panax notoginseng roots, tubers, stems, petioles, leaves, and flower buds, and preliminary identification of medicinal compounds in the callus was carried out by TLC, using subcultured sixth-generation calli. The results demonstrated that callus was capable of synthesizing saponins, including ginsenosides Rb1, Rg1, and Rh1.

Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H. Chen 三七 (Sanqi, Notoginseng)

2015
Panax L. is a small genus of the family Arliaceae. Nearly all species in the genus Panax such as American ginseng (P. quinquefolius L.), Asian ginseng (P. ginseng C.A. Meyer), and Sanqi (P. notoginseng (Burk.) F.H. Chen) are important herbal medicines. The roots of Sanqi are used as medicine and dietary supplement purposes.

Saponins from the roots of Panax notoginseng

Phytochemistry, 1999
Abstract The glycosidic fraction from the dried roots of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H.Chen exhibited an inhibitory effect on zoospore motility of Aphanomyces cochlioides . Further study on this fraction afforded fourteen dammarane-type saponins. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical methods. Eleven were known

[RP-HPLC characteristics of Panax notoginseng].

Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica, 2008
To develop the chemical characteristics of Panax notoginseng in order to control its quality. The samples was extracted using pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) and analyzed by HPLC-DAD. The data were evaluated using the "similarity evaluation system for chromatographic fingerprint of TCM" software (version 2004A).The chromatographic characteristics of

Biodiversity in cultivated Panax notoginseng populations.

Acta pharmacologica Sinica, 2009
Panax notoginseng is a cultivated ginseng species highly valued for its various pharmacological activities mostly associated with triterpenoid saponin glycosides. It would be of great interest to understand biodiversity in this ginseng species after its long history of domestication. We collected 92 random sampled 3-year-old P notoginseng plants from 4 ...

[Identification of notoginseng(Panax notoginseng) and its adulterants using DNA sequencing].

Zhong yao cai = Zhongyaocai = Journal of Chinese medicinal materials, 2002
To analyze the nuclear ribosomal RNA small subunit (18S rRNA) and chloroplast matK gene sequence of notoginseng (Panax notoginseng) in order to provide molecular evidence for its genuine origin identification. To sequence 18S rRNA and matK genes of Panax notoginseng and its four adulterants such as P. japonicus, Curcuma phaeocaulis, C.

Panax notoginseng saponins attenuated cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity.

Acta pharmacologica Sinica, 2001
To study protective effects of Panax notoginseng saponins (PnS) against cisplatin-nephrotoxicity.Cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in mice in vivo, and primary culture of rabbit proximal tubular cells (PTC) in vitro were established. Blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, cell viability, DNA interstrand cross-link, DNA-protein cross-link, and cytosolic ...
