Experiences in Central Pancreatectomy
Background: Non-cancerous pancreatic lesions have been increasing, and function-preserving pancreatectomy may be an adequate approach to them. Recent advanced experience of major pancreatectomy has stimulated interest in central pancreatectomy (CP).

Robotic Distal Pancreatectomy [PDF]
A robotic-assisted minimal invasive approach has the potential to overcome the limitations of conventional laparoscopic pancreatectomies. We analyzed the outcomes of robotic-assisted distal pancreatectomies (RDPs) to demonstrate the safety and feasibility of robotic distal pancreas resection, including spleen preservation. We performed a descriptive ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Advances in neoadjuvant therapy and surgical techniques have led to more total pancreatectomies (TP) with vascular resection for pancreatic cancer. This study assesses contemporary outcomes of TP with venous (VR) and arterial (AR) resections compared to non‐vascular resection (NVR).

Robotic central pancreatectomy [PDF]
Central pancreatectomy (CP) is a parenchyma-sparing procedure that can be utilized in the resection of tumors of the neck or the proximal body of the pancreas. Among 872 open CP reported since 1993, the mean rate of morbidity was 43.2% and mean rate of mortality was 0.24%. The mean pancreatic fistula rate was 28%.

The Unfinished Journey After Major Surgery: Interhospital Transfer and Care Fragmentation
Interhospital transfer (IHTR) is commonly used to access specialized surgical care, yet post‐discharge readmission destination among transferred surgical patients remains poorly characterized. Therefore, the association of IHTR and hospital transfer burden with care fragmentation after major surgery was evaluated. IHTR was strongly associated with care

Diazoksit Yanıtsız Hiperinsülinemik Hipoglisemili Bir Olguda Tedavi ve İzlem
Hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia (HH) is the most common reason for persistent and recurrent hypoglycemia in the neonatal and infancy periods. We presented a case diagnosed with HH on the first day of life and who underwent near-total pancreatectomy because

ABSTRACT Background The data elements and indicators in a clinical quality registry (CQR) contribute towards the utility of its output and should be informed by stakeholder input. In Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand (AANZ), there is no CQR for pancreatic cancer surgery. This study aimed to select data elements and registry aims with stakeholder input.

Laparoscopic Distal Pancreatectomy [PDF]
Laparoscopic management of distal pancreatic malignancies has been slow to gain a foothold in all but high-volume tertiary referral centers. The aim of this study was to assess the safety and outcomes of laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy (LDP) performed in a low-volume community hospital by a diverse group of surgeons, none of whom have a specialized ...
