Gastroenterology Clinics of North America, 2022
Early detection of high-risk pancreatic cystic lesions enables potentially curative surgical resection, and early detection of lesions without worrisome features may lead to appropriate surveillance. Regrettably, differentiating premalignant and malignant cysts from nonmalignant ones remains challenging.

Surveillance of Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasms
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinics of North America, 2023Pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs) are increasingly detected because of the widespread use of cross-sectional imaging and overall aging population. While the majority of these cysts are benign, some can progress to advanced neoplasia (defined as high-grade dysplasia and invasive cancer).

Surgical Clinics of North America, 2010
Cystic neoplasms of the pancreas have been recognized for almost 2 centuries, but the principles of management continue to evolve. Clinicians have a better understanding now of the diverse pathologies and behaviors of cystic neoplasms, and can characterize them more precisely into benign, malignant, and of uncertain potential in their manifestations ...

Cystic neoplasms are an uncommon group among pancreatic tumors. Because of advances in noninvasive diagnostic procedures, these lesions are more frequently detected and surgically treated. New pathological entities have been recently described with their own prognosis. 1.

Endoscopic Interventions in Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasms
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinics of North America, 2023During the past two decades, there has been a significant evolution in endoscopic interventions in pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCNs), ranging from diagnostic intervention (endoscopic ultrasound-guided through-the-needle biopsy [EUS-TTNB]) to therapeutic intervention (endoscopic ultrasound-guided pancreatic cystic ablation [EUS-PCA]).

Nonmucinous cystic pancreatic neoplasms
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Clinics of North America, 2002This article discusses serous cystadenomas, the most common of the nonmucinous cystic lesions of the pancreas. These microcystic lesions were previously known as "glycogen-rich" cystadenomas because of the presence of glycogen within the cyst epithelium.

A nomogram for predicting pancreatic mucinous cystic neoplasm and serous cystic neoplasm
Abdominal Radiology, 2021To develop and validate a nomogram for the preoperative prediction of pancreatic serous cystic neoplasm (SCN) and mucinous cystic neoplasm (MCN) based on multidetector computed tomography (MDCT).In this retrospective study, the data of 227 patients with SCN and MCN were analyzed. Each patient underwent MDCT and surgical resection.

Pancreatic Cystic Endocrine Neoplasms
Pancreas, 1990A rare case of cystic pancreatic endocrine tumor is presented, and the literature is reviewed. The patient was initially misdiagnosed as having a pancreatic pseudocyst, and that condition was managed accordingly. Persistence of the cystic lesion and reoperation led to the correct diagnosis and management.

Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasms: Diagnosis and Management
Gastroenterology Clinics of North America, 2012PCNs are composed of a wide range of lesions from benign cysts to malignancies . Although a cross-sectional imaging provides a sensitive screening test, EUS with FNA and cyst fluid analysis greatly increase the diagnostic certainty. Cyst fluid CEA offers the greatest accuracy in the differentiation between mucinous and nonmucinous PCNs.

Most cystic neoplasms of the pancreas arise from the exocrine components of the gland. Such lesions are much less common than solid exocrine carcinomas. Cystic change in endocrine tumours of the pancreas is unusual (see p. 208), and cystic vascular tumours of the pancreas are even more unusual.
