Objective: Spontaneous migration of plastic stents placed in the pancreatic duct toward the duodenal lumen rarely occurs. However, removal of the plastic stent that has migrated to the proximal pancreatic duct is also a condition that requires treatment.

The Diagnosis of Autoimmune Pancreatitis Using Endoscopic Ultrasonography
Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is characterized by enlargement of the pancreas and irregular narrowing of the main pancreatic duct. It is often associated with IgG4-related sclerosing cholangitis (IgG4-SC), in which the bile duct narrows.

Formal Modeling and Analysis of Pancreatic Cancer Microenvironment [PDF]
The focus of pancreatic cancer research has been shifted from pancreatic cancer cells towards their microenvironment, involving pancreatic stellate cells that interact with cancer cells and influence tumor progression. To quantitatively understand the pancreatic cancer microenvironment, we construct a computational model for intracellular signaling ...

Explicit approximation of the wavenumber for lined ducts [PDF]
For acoustic waves in lined ducts, at given frequencies, the dispersion relation leads to a transcendental equation for the wavenumber that has to be solved by numerical methods. Based on Eckart explicit expression initially derived for water waves, accurate explicit approximations are proposed for the wavenumber of the fundamental mode in lined ducts.

Region-Manipulated Fusion Networks for Pancreatitis Recognition [PDF]
This work first attempts to automatically recognize pancreatitis on CT scan images. However, different form the traditional object recognition, such pancreatitis recognition is challenging due to the fine-grained and non-rigid appearance variability of the local diseased regions.

Role of magnetic resonance imaging in the detection and characterization of solid pancreatic nodules: an update [PDF]
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is the most common malignant tumor of the pancreas. The remaining pancreatic tumors are a diverse group of pancreatic neoplasms that comprises cystic pancreatic neoplasms, endocrine tumors and other uncommon pancreatic ...

Effect of different pancreatic stump closure techniques during distal pancreatectomy to the frequency and severity of acute postoperative pancreatitis [PDF]
The Aim: to study the effect of different pancreatic stump closure techniques, including depending on the diameter of the main pancreatic duct to frequency and severity of acute postoperative pancreatitis after distal pancreatectomy. Material and Methods.
