Collagen Digestion by Dog Pancreatic Juice.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1957
SummaryDegradation of collagen after one day incubation with pancreatic juice or various enzymes was studied. About 6% was degraded by trypsin or by pancreatic juice containing active trypsin. Collagen degradation was much less when incubated with fresh inactive pancreatic juice or pancreatic juice containing trypsin inhibitor.

Which Suture Material is Optimal for Pancreaticojejunostomy Anastomosis? An In Vitro Study

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Surgery, 2017
Background: Which suture material is optimal for pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ) anastomosis is a matter of debate with contradictory results. The aim of the present in vitro study was to determine the effects of pancreatic juice, bile, and their mixture on ...

Hydrolysis of primary and secondary esters of glycerol by pancreatic juice

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1968
The relative rates of hydrolysis of the secondary ester in glycerol 1,3-benzylidene 2-oleate and in glycerol 1,3-dihexadecyl ether 2-oleate, and of the primary and secondary esters in triolein were determined.

Comparative evaluation and technical aspects of pancreatodigestive anastomoses during parenchyma-preserving operations in patients with chronic pancreatitis with ductal hypertension

open access: yesPatologìâ, 2014
Actuality. The paper presents a new type of pancreatodigestive anastomosis in the form of isolated pancreaticojejunoduodenoanastomosis as the final stage of parenchyma-preserving operation – total longitudinal pancreatowirsungoduodenopapillotomy. Aim.

pH-taxis drives aerobic bacteria in duodenum to migrate into the pancreas with tumors

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
As oral or intestinal bacteria have been found in pancreatic cystic fluid and tumors, understanding bacterial migration from the duodenum into the pancreas via hepato-pancreatic duct is critical.
