Pancreatic solid pseudopapillary neoplasm mimicking a pseudocyst in a young female with acute pancreatitis

Abstract Solid pseudopapillary epithelial neoplasm (SPEN) of the pancreas is a rare, low‐grade pancreatic neoplasm that is uncommon in the pediatric population. We present the case of previously healthy 11‐year‐old girl with a pancreatic mass initially misdiagnosed as a pseudocyst, later confirmed to be a SPEN.
