ABSTRACT In managing SMA syndrome, initial gastrojejunostomy may lead to anastomotic stricture, necessitating complex revision surgery. Duodenojejunostomy remains the preferred approach due to lower complication rates, highlighting the need for multidisciplinary input and surgeon expertise to optimize outcomes, especially in pediatric cases with ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Pancreaticoduodenal and gastroduodenal artery aneurysms (PDAA and GDAA) are rare but life‐threatening vascular lesions. Many are associated with median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS), a condition associated with increased retrograde collateral flow due to celiac artery compression.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Division of the pancreatic arterial arcade during pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) can precipitate visceral ischemia in patients with celiac artery stenosis (CAS). This study investigated optimal management of CAS for patients undergoing PD—particularly stenosis caused by median arcuate ligament (MAL) compression—through a ...

Natural history of true pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms [PDF]
Advances in non-invasive diagnostic techniques, such as CT and ultrasonography, have improved our ability to detect unruptured pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysms. No definitive study evaluating the natural history of these lesions or their preferred method of treatment has been published.

Ruptured Pancreaticoduodenal Artery Aneurysm
