Optimizing the Tilt Angle of Solar Panels by SQP Algorithm

In present research we propose a nonlinear solving method to obtain the optimum tilt angle for solar panels. For this purpose, solar radiation on tilted panels are estimated by applying anisotropic model in Maple and the maximum is obtained by solving parametric nonlinear equations with Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) algorithm.

Numerical Study of Wind Loads on A Solar Panel at Different Inclination Angles

A numerical analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics methodology was carried out to study the effect of the different inclination angles on wind loads of solar panel. The wind flow is simulated as turbulent, incompressible flow with a free stream velocity of 10 m/s and a wind direction of 180° and the inclination angles is chosen as 25°, 30° and 35°.
