Ecotypic differentiation in guineagrass (Panicum maximum Jacq.)
Agro-Ecosystems, 1979Abstract Six Brazilian populations of guineagrass ( Panicum maximum Jacq.) were studied in order to evaluate their quantitative and allozyme variation and to correlate their ecotypic differences with average monthly temperature and rainfall at the collection sites.

Madras Agricultural Journal, 1994The germplasm types of Guine sagrass in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Coimbatore were evaluated for green fodder yield during 1980-82 along with the local variety. Six selections were found promising in 1982-83 and preliminary yield trials were conducted from 1985 to 1988.

Phytochemistry, 1974Abstract Two xylans have been isolated from the mature tissues of the tropical grass Panicum maximum —an arabino(4- O -methylglucurono)xylan and an acidic galactoarabinoxylan. Both consist of a main chain of β(1 → 4) linked d -xylopyranosyl residues.
