Biomass flow in massai grass fertilized with nitrogen under intermittent stocking grazing with sheep
This study evaluated the biomass flow of massai grass in regrowth subjected to different nitrogen levels (control - no fertilization; 400; 800; and 1200 N kg ha-1year-1) and under rotational stocking with sheep, in a completely randomized design with ...

Establishment strategies for native warm‐season grasses: Organic and conventional approaches
Abstract Native warm‐season grasses (NWSG) adoption is limited partly due to establishment challenges, especially weed competition. The objective was to develop establishment protocols for switchgrass [Panicum virgatum (L.) ‘Vitman’; SG], eastern gamagrass [Tripsacum dactyloides (L.); EG] and a mix of Indiangrass [Sorghastrum nutans (L.) ‘Nash’; IG ...

B chromosomes in diploid guineagrass (Panicum maximum JACQ.).
B chromosomes (Bs) were detected in a diploid guineagrass (2n=16) strain derived from seeds collected in Tanzania. The number of Bs was constant at the metaphase I (MI) of pollen mother cells in the same plant, and the size of the B in the bivalents and univalents was approximately the same as that of the normal (A) chromosomes at MI.
