Characterization of the visually impaired patients with diabetes mellitus in Japan
This study surveyed visually impaired diabetes patients in Japan to understand factors leading to blindness, categorizing them into blind and low‐vision groups. Among 408 participants, the blind group had higher rates of neovascular glaucoma, progressed proliferative diabetic retinopathy, and retinal atrophy, indicating severe conditions.
