Dopamine Accumulation in Papaver somniferum Latex

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung C, 1984
Abstract Organelles found in the 1000 x g fraction of latex taken from Papaver somniferum have been shown to accumulate dopamine to the exclusion of other catecholamines. Dopamine accumula tion is both temperature and pH dependent and there is no evident requirement for ATP (1 mᴍ) or Mg2+ (2mᴍ).

The centromere landscapes of four karyotypically diverse Papaver species provide insights into chromosome evolution and speciation

open access: yesCell Genomics
Summary: Understanding the roles played by centromeres in chromosome evolution and speciation is complicated by the fact that centromeres comprise large arrays of tandemly repeated satellite DNA, which hinders high-quality assembly.
