Design of paper-based analytical devices

Microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) are a new platform for developing portable diagnostics for resources-limiting settings. These devices enable the detection of various analytes in a sample fluid by accommodating a detection system in a flow guiding pattern fabricated on a paper substrate.

The Chemiluminescence Paper-Based Analytical Device for Lead Measurement in Gasoline

Talanta
This study developed a paper-based analytical device with a chemiluminescence detection method (PAD-CL) to determine lead cations (Pb2+) in a gasoline sample. The paper substrate was modified with NiO hollow microspheres (NiO HMs) to catalyze the luminol-O2 CL reaction.
