Human Schlafen 14 Cleavage of Short Double‐Stranded RNAs Underpins its Antiviral Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLFN14 is associated with human diseases. SLFN14 is found to cleave RNAs containing short duplexes. The cryo‐EM structures of SLFN14 and SLFN14‐hairpin RNA complex reveal that SLFN14 assembles into a ring‐like dimer; two RNase domains form an RNA‐binding groove accommodating a hairpin RNA.

Novel ATR/PARP1 Dual Inhibitors Demonstrate Synergistic Antitumor Efficacy in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Novel ATR/PARP1 dual inhibitors are developed for the first time. Advanced lead B8 effectively reduces cell viability in vitro and suppresses tumor growth in vivo, with better potency than ATRi and PARPi alone or in combination. Mechanistically, B8 induces apoptosis, arrests the cell cycle, and inhibits cancer cells colony formation, migration, and ...

Electronic Microenvironment Regulation of Bismuth‐salophen Single‐site Catalysts for Enhanced Selectivity in CO2 Electrolysis to Formic Acid

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The microenvironment modulation of Bi SSCs via electronegative group (─F/─H/─OMe) modification demonstrably suppresses the HER at high current densities, achieving a HCOOH FE of 95%. The ─F group optimizes the electronic structure of Bi, significantly enhancing CO2 adsorption and reducing the energy barrier for *OCHO intermediate formation, thereby ...
