Urothelial neoplasm in a 19‐year‐old male patient with urine discoloration, negative lab, and imaging workup: Should we investigate the findings or the symptom?

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2019
Key Clinical Message With few cases of PUNLMPs in young adults being reported in the literature, we hope to raise clinical awareness of prompt and effective diagnosis, while maintaining a high index of suspicion among health professionals.

A Pentaradial and Bilateral Combined Photoreception System in the Sea Cucumber is Mediated by a Blue Light‐Sensitive R‐Opsin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The sea cucumber Holothuria leucospilota detects blue and adjacent wavelengths of light via an r‐opsin with a maximum absorption at 459 nm. In the oral tentacles, papillae, and tube feet, distinct light‐sensing structures with specialized morphologies are formed, constituting a unique pentaradial and bilateral combined photoreception system.

Celastrol‐Loaded Conductive Hydrogel Mitigates Myocardial Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury and Restores Electrophysiological Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the Pluronic F127 diacrylate/gelatin methacryloyl/poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/celastrol hydrogel (FGPC) for localized myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury treatment. FGPC combines sustained celastrol delivery with PEDOT:PSS‐mediated conductive support to attenuate acute oxidative/inflammatory ...

Frequency of Thyroid Microcarcinoma in Patients Who Underwent Total Thyroidectomy with Benign Indication—A 5-Year Retrospective Review

open access: yesMedicina
Background and Objectives: Incidental thyroid cancers (ITCs) are often microcarcinomas. The most frequent histologic type is a papillary microcarcinoma. Papillary thyroid microcarcinomas are defined as papillary thyroid tumours measuring less than 10 mm ...

Synergistic Integration of Artificial Merkel Disc and Meissner Corpuscle via Dermal Papillary Structures for Mechanically Filtered Multimodal Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal tactile sensor module that mimics the spatial arrangement and function of Merkel discs and Meissner corpuscles within the human papillary structure operates in a self‐powered manner, responding to both dynamic and static stimuli, achieving tactile perception more similar to human skin.
