Human tissue kallikrein 14 induces the expression of IL‐6, IL‐8, and CXCL1 in skin fibroblasts through protease‐activated receptor 1 signaling

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 21, Page 5659-5675, November 2025.
Human tissue kallikrein 14 (KLK14), a skin protease, may mediate paracrine signaling in wound healing. KLK14 released by epithelial cells activates fibroblasts via PAR‐1 activation, inducing IL‐6, IL‐8, and CXCL1 expression. These cytokines in turn promote keratinocyte proliferation and migration, resulting in wound closure.

Deep Learning Integration in PAPR Reduction in 5G Filter Bank Multicarrier Systems [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
High peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) has been a major drawback of Filter bank Multicarrier (FBMC) in the 5G system. This research aims to calculate the PAPR reduction associated with the FBMC system.

Analysis of Alternative Metrics for the PAPR Problem in OFDM Transmission

open access: yes, 2011
The effective PAPR of the transmit signal is the standard metric to capture the effect of nonlinear distortion in OFDM transmission. A common rule of thumb is the log$(N)$ barrier where $N$ is the number of subcarriers which has been theoretically ...

Digital Predistorter Implementation for Wideband Power Amplifiers in New Generation Wireless Systems Based on a Low‐Complexity Volterra Series Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields, Volume 38, Issue 5, September/October 2025.
ABSTRACT In this article, we provide a novel, expanded, and adapted pruning approach for the Simplified Volterra Series (SVS) model that makes it applicable to a wider range of Power Amplifiers (PAs). The proposed Modified SVS (MSVS) model is then applied in a Digital Predistortion (DPD) architecture to linearize a 25 W Gallium Nitride (GaN) RF PA.

A Joint Linearization/Companding Approach for Improving a CO-OFDM Transmitter

open access: yes, 2015
International audience—The joint use of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction and linearization via digital predistortion is investigated in this letter, with the view to improve the performances of coherent optical OFDM (CO-OFDM) systems ...

Fractional Fourier Domain PAPR Reduction

open access: yes
High peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) has long posed a challenge for multi-carrier systems, impacting amplifier efficiency and overall system performance. This paper introduces dynamic angle fractional Fourier division multiplexing (DA-FrFDM), an innovative multi-carrier system that effectively reduces PAPR for both QAM and Gaussian signals with ...

New PAPR Reduction Method for Spatial Modulation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Korea Information and Communications Society, 2014
In this paper, a new peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method for spatial modulation(SM) is presented. By using the matrix with all non-zero elements to precode the signals before transmitting, the transmit power is scattered over all transmit antennas for achieving the goal of PAPR reduction.

Tractable Resource Management with Uplink Decoupled Millimeter-Wave Overlay in Ultra-Dense Cellular Networks

open access: yes, 2016
The forthcoming 5G cellular network is expected to overlay millimeter-wave (mmW) transmissions with the incumbent micro-wave ({\mu}W) architecture. The overall mm-{\mu}W resource management should therefore harmonize with each other.
