Life in its unfullness: Revisiting ἀναίδειαν (Lk 11:8) in the light of papyrological evidence

open access: yesVerbum et Ecclesia, 2017
The aim of this chapter is twofold. Firstly, the chapter presents a comprehensive study of the meaning of the term ἀναίδειαν in extant papyrological evidence.

Toward a Consensus Characterization Protocol for Organic Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We advocate a common consensus on accurate and standardized reporting of performance metrics in the field of organic thermoelectrics. We summarize prevalent issues in the literature and propose a pre‐submission checklist to support the publication of reproducible results.

Porous Bi2S3 Bulk With Excellent Thermoelectric Performance by Solid States Replacement and Low Melting‐Point Metal Volatilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By introducing FeCoNi medium‐entropy alloy, the bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) material achieves a record‐high ZT of 1.1 at 773 K, owing to the solid‐states replacement reaction and the volatilization of low melting‐point metal. This strategy is also applicable to other sulfur‐based thermoelectric materials.

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

Self‐Assembled Cobalt Oxide Nanobeads on the Conducting Van der Waals Semi‐Metal PtTe2 for Catalytic Heterostructure

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled CoO nanobeads on the Van der Waals surface of PtTe2 were synthesized through simple thermal annealing utilizing the residual oxygen in the annealing chamber. In this study, the electrocatalytic effect for oxygen evolution reaction from CoO nanobeads on conducting PtTe2 was confirmed, elucidating the new pathway to design a ...

Sent Forth by God\u27s Blessing: Liturgy and Witness [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
(Excerpt) Liturgy and witness. Not liturgy as a means to witness or even, closer, the means to witness. For liturgy is an end, and the worship of the living God needs no other justification for creatures loved, redeemed, enlightened.

Multimodal Imaging of Strain and Light Emission of Core–Shell InGaN/GaN Wires under a Sub‐Micrometer Polychromatic X‐Ray Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Micro‐Laue diffraction and excited optical X‐ray luminescence are used to study InGaN/GaN core‐shell wires on the BM32 beamline at the European Synchrotron. Multimodal imaging of X‐ray fluorescence, deviatoric strain tensors and optical emissions is performed using simultaneous mapping.

The philosophy of the text as texts of philosophy

open access: yesСлово.ру: балтийский акцент, 2019
The conceptualization of the philosophy of the text requires a preliminary idea about the ways of the textual presentation of philosophy as such. At the same time, philosophical views per se are difficult to classify and systematize — at best, they are ...

Defect Properties and Band Energetics of Atomic Layer Deposited MoOX on Crystalline Si

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Atomic layer deposited MoOx thin films grown using oxygen plasma and ozone co‐reactants exhibit tunable defect densities and band energetics. Optical and X#x02010;ray photoelectron spectroscopies reveal oxygen#x02010;vacancy#x02010;induced defect and polaron states and their impact on band alignment at the c#x02010;Si/MoOx interface, providing insight ...
