Review of millimeter‐wave and terahertz near‐field synthetic aperture radar imaging technology

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper comprehensively reviews the development of millimeter‐wave (MMW) and terahertz (THz) near‐field imaging technologies, with an emphasis on the state of synthetic aperture radar (SAR)‐based imaging technologies. Near‐field imaging technologies are categorized into passive and active imaging modes, among which active imaging is favored

Tin‐based perovskite light‐emitting diodes: Progress and perspective

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
This review assesses tin‐based perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs), focusing on the limitations of Sn2+ oxidation–induced defects and uncontrolled crystallization. By evaluating advanced device engineering and structural innovations, this article highlights their viability in narrowband pure‐red displays and near‐infrared optical communication ...

Several Dirac Operator in parabolic geometry

open access: yes, 2007
In this thesis, we show the existence of a sequence of differential operators starting with with the Dirac operator in k Clifford variables, $D=(D_1,..., D_k)$, where $D_i=\sum_j e_j\cdot \partial_{ij}: C^\infty((\R^n)^k,§)\to C^\infty((\R^n)^k,§)$ ($§$ is the spinor module).

Bio‐inspired nanophotonics: Structural color, chirality, and resonance metasurfaces

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
A butterfly‐wing‐inspired anisotropic plasmonic flatband resonant metasurface. Insets, photo of the butterfly, Sasakia charonda, and the SEM image of its wing scale (above); the SEM image of the metasurface (below). Abstract The dazzling colors of butterfly wings and hummingbird feathers are not painted with pigments, but crafted by nature's invisible ...

Kinetic Study on the Reaction of Phenylperoxy Radicals With Nitric Oxide

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cavity ring‐down spectroscopy (CRDS) and quantum cascade laser absorption spectroscopy (QCLAS), in conjunction with pulsed laser photolysis, were employed to investigate the reaction between phenylperoxy radicals (C6H5O2) and nitric oxide (NO) at a temperature of 296 ± 4 K. The experiment was carried out under N2 as bath gas.

Computational Modelling of Cavity Arrays with Heat Transfer using Implicit Large Eddy Simulations

open access: yes, 2010
This PhD programme was sponsored by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). The aim of this study is to conduct advanced computational modelling of a cooling device used in the fusion process which recycles waste energy.

Chemical Kinetics of 2‐, 4‐, and 2,4‐Seleno‐Uracils at Low Temperatures: Tautomerizations and Rotamerizations on Inert Matrices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the interstellar medium, chemical reactions proceed under conditions vastly different to those on Earth; these include extremely low temperatures and densities and take place in the gas phase and on water–ice grains. Understanding the energetics and more importantly the kinetics of such reactions is of relevance to the consequences on how ...

The Brownian Geometry of Parabolic Operator Regularity

open access: yes
This paper explores the intricate relationship between the regularity properties of solutions to parabolic operators and the underlying geometry induced by their associated Brownian motions. Parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) are fundamental in modeling diverse phenomena involving diffusion, heat conduction, and financial processes ...

Holonomy of parabolic geometries near isolated higher-order fixed points

open access: yes
For Cartan geometries admitting automorphisms with isotropies satisfying a particular, loosely dynamical property on their model geometries, we demonstrate the existence of an open subset of the geometry with trivial holonomy.
