On point orbits of the Co2-minimal parabolic geometry
The orbits of certain subgroups of Co2, Conway's second largest simple group, on the points of Co2's minimal parabolic geometry are determined. This information is used in [6,7] to analyse a grap associated with the Baby Monster group.

Parabolic Polygons and Discrete Affine Geometry
. Geometry processing applications estimate the local geometry of objects using information localized at points. They usually consider information about the normal as a side product of the points coordinates.

Special metrics and scales in parabolic geometry
Given a parabolic geometry, it is sometimes possible to find special metrics characterised by some invariant conditions. In conformal geometry, for example, one asks for an Einstein metric in the conformal class.

Identification of Plasmonic Modes in Parabolic Cylinder Geometry by Quasi-Separation of Variables
# The Author(s) 2014. This article is published with open access at Springerlink.com Abstract This paper describes the plasmonic modes in the parabolic cylinder geometry as a theoretical complement to the previous paper (J Phys A 42:185401) that ...

A Car as Parabolic Geometry [PDF]
We show that a car, viewed as a nonholonomic system, provides an example of a flat parabolic geometry of type $({\bf SO}(2,3),P_{12})$, where $P_{12}$ is a Borel parabolic subgroup in ${\bf SO}(2,3)$. We discuss the relations of this geometry of a car with the geometry of circles in the plane (a low dimensional Lie sphere geometry), the geometry of 3 ...

Nonlinear dynamic analysis of parabolic leaf springs using ANCF geometry and data acquisition
The parabolic leaf spring is widely used in modern vehicle suspension systems because it has many desirable features, such as weak interleaf friction and light weight.
