Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

Partially penalized immersed finite element methods for parabolic interface problems [PDF]
We present partially penalized immersed finite element methods for solving parabolic interface problems on Cartesian meshes. Typical semidiscrete and fully discrete schemes are discussed. Error estimates in an energy norm are derived. Numerical examples are provided to support theoretical analysis. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Bioinspired Morphology‐Decoupled Soft Gripper with Enhanced Bidirectional Grasping Capability
Inspired by biological predation, a novel gripper decouples cross‐modal grasping via dual morphological configurations. Synergistically integrating hybrid rigid and soft coupled fingers with a metamaterial palm, the system performs active compliant grasping for static objects and passive cage capture for dynamic targets.

Discontinuous Galerkin immersed finite element methods for parabolic interface problems
In this article, interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin methods using immersed finite element functions are employed to solve parabolic interface problems. Typical semi-discrete and fully discrete schemes are presented and analyzed. Optimal convergence for both semi-discrete and fully discrete schemes are proved.

A Computational Approach for Biomimetic Design of Liver‐On‐A‐Chip
A biomimetic liver‐on‐a‐chip with antiparallel perfusion was designed using COMSOL‐guided simulation to replicate hepatic acinus transport. Full‐scale modelling revealed diffusion‐dominated, length‐dependent nutrient gradients and low‐shear conditions.
