Optimization of parabolic trough solar collectors
Solar Energy, 1982Abstract The results of a detailed optical analysis of parabolic trough solar collectors are summarized by a few universal graphs and curve fits. These graphs enable the designer of parabolic trough collectors to calculate the performance and optimize the design with a simple hand calculator.

The design of prototype was done using Creo parametric 2.0 software. The design parameters are decided on the basis of analysis and its effects due to variations in the parameters.
