Study of the Thermal and Hydrothermal Aging Effects on the Properties of 3D‐Printed Thermoplastic Polyurethane

open access: yesJournal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, EarlyView.
Effect of post‐aging conditions on mechanical and thermal properties of FDM‐printed parts. ABSTRACT In this study, the thermal and hydrothermal aging of TPU produced with the FDM technique was simulated and subjected to a series of tests. The alterations in the internal structures of the samples that had been subjected to tensile, hardness, adhesive ...

Predictors of Brain Infarction in Pediatric Patients During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
In 179 pediatric ECMO patients, brain infarction (BI) occurred in 28% and was linked to markedly higher 30‐day mortality. VA ECMO mode (vs. VV) and higher pre‐ECMO arterial lactate independently predicted BI, supporting standardized neuro‐monitoring and liberal early brain CT, especially for children on VA ECMO.

Cardiotoxicity of BRAF/MEK inhibitors

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Rapidly accelerated fibrosarcoma type B/B‐Raf proto‐oncogene, serine/threonine kinase (BRAF) and mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MEK) inhibitors have transformed outcomes in cancer therapy, particularly in melanoma. However, cardiovascular toxicities are increasingly recognized in real‐world clinical practice.

Platelet Transfusion Is Associated With Increased Thrombosis and In‐Hospital Mortality Among Patients Hospitalized With Platelet Consumptive Disorders

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Platelet transfusion is commonly used to reduce bleeding risk in platelet consumptive disorders. However, platelets may also promote thromboinflammatory pathways, and contemporary data evaluating the association between platelet transfusion, thrombosis, and mortality in this population are limited.
