Multicenter randomized trials with blinded asessors, a thorough assessment of signs and symptoms, and oth shortand long-term follow-up are rarely seen, but are very necessary to study the efficacy of strongly skilldependent therapies like this intervention.

2013The terminology used to describe diaphragmatic hernias may be confusing. The first step is to differentiate hernias through the esophageal hiatus from hernias through the diaphragmatic musculature. These later type are more commonly congenital in nature such as Bochdalek or Morgagni hernias.
