Radiofrequency encoded Only Parahydrogen SpectroscopY

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2021
A new pulse sequence aimed to filter out NMR signals coming from thermally polarized protons in PHIP experiments based on the OPSY pulse sequence (Only Parahydrogen SpectroscopY) is presented. In analogy to OPSY, which removes thermal polarization by using a pair of magnetic field gradient pulses with an intensity ratio 1:2 and equal duration, the same

Rapid lung ventilation MRI using parahydrogen-induced polarization of propane gas

In Analysis
Proton-hyperpolarized contrast agents are attractive because they can be imaged on virtually any clinical MRI scanner, which is typically equipped to scan only protons rather than heteronuclei (i.e., anything besides protons, e.g., 13C, 15N, 129Xe, 23Na,

Parahydrogen-Induced Carbon-13 Radiofrequency Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation

Angewandte Chemie, 2022
The feasibility of Carbon-13 Radiofrequency (RF) Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (C-13 RASER) is demonstrated on a bolus of liquid hyperpolarized ethyl [1-13C]acetate.

Superplasticity of solid parahydrogen

Soviet Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1984
The plastic properties of single-crystal specimens of parahydrogen have been studied at helium temperatures. It was found that the plasticity increases sharply as the temperature is reduced to 1.8-2 K. The phenomenon of flow of sufficiently perfect p-H2 crystals under the force of gravity was observed.

The Parahydrogen Conversion on Metals

Equation of state for parahydrogen

Cryogenics, 1964
A pressure-explicit equation of state is presented for parahydrogen describing the experimental data of Goodwin, Diller, Roder, and Weber, which consist of over 1,200 points ranging between 2 and 365 atm, 19 and 100 deg K, and 0.0011 and 0.044 moles/cm/sup 3/.

Solid Parahydrogen Thickness Revisited

Applied Spectroscopy, 2019
We report updated infrared (IR) absorption measurements on vapor-deposited cryogenic parahydrogen (pH 2 ) solids that indicate a ≈10% systematic error in our previous approach for determining a pH 2 solid's thickness (S. Tam and M.E. Fajardo.

Mesoporous Silica Encapsulated Platinum-Tin Intermetallic Nanoparticles Catalyze Hydrogenation with an Unprecedented 20% Pairwise Selectivity for Parahydrogen Enhanced Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.

Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2022
Supported noble metals offer key advantages over homogeneous catalysts for in vivo applications of parahydrogen-based hyperpolarization. However, their performance is compromised by randomization of parahydrogen spin order resulting from rapid hydrogen ...

The Scattering Properties of Gaseous Parahydrogen

Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 2021
In this work, the scattering properties of parahydrogen gas (p-H2) are studied in the temperature-range (1–50) K. These properties are investigated within the framework of the Lippmann–Schwinger formalism for p-H2. This formalism is used to calculate the phase shifts. The calculations are undertaken using Silvera-Goldman potential.
